To work as a registered nurse, a person has to be a naturally nurturing individual. Nurses make their patients their top priority, and they have to spend a great deal of time learning about various aspects of the medical field. With that in mind, registered nursing can open doors to a career that is almost guaranteed to be in high demand well into the future. As the population increases, so does the need for RNs across the country.
An individual can get a bachelor's or associate's degree in nursing, and the one that he or she chooses will determine how much money he or she earns every year. Nurses with higher degrees often make higher money because they can start in upper level positions at hospitals and clinics.
