An individual can get a temporary RN permit if he or she submits:

• The licensure fee with an additional $25.00 temporary permit fee
• Proof that he or she is currently licensed in good standing in another US state

If an individual has not worked as a nurse in the past 3 years, but wishes to get a temporary permit to update his or her nursing knowledge or skills, he or she must submit:

• The licensure fee with an additional $25.00 temporary permit fee
• Proof that he or she was previously licensed

Becoming an RN by Examination in Idaho

In order to become an RN by examination in Idaho, an individual must submit:

• An application for licensure form, completed in ink and notarized by a notary public
• A 2' x 2' photograph of his or her head and shoulders
• The licensure fee of $100.00
• The 'Census Questionnaire' form
• An affidavit of graduation that is sent directly from his or her nursing program to the Board of Nursing

Reinstating a License

If an individual wants to reinstate his or her license, he or she must submit:
